The Gin Blog

The Gin Blog is a website that focusses solely on the world of gin and the people who make it so special. Now just over 1 year old, it is starting to look more like what our eventual goal is – to be the largest online compendium of information about gin. There’s someway to go that’s for certain, but we’re enjoying the journey rather than rushing to the destination!

We are busy adding new reviews all the time and 2012 will see the start of a more concerted effort to put together a decent gin based drinks section as well as more regular interviews with industry folk that share a bit of insight into life behind the scenes. With over 57,000 unique users a year (December 2012 – December 2013), The Gin Blog has grown up fast and although an ‘About’ section is supposed to be about us, we would like to thank you for visiting the website, reading our musings and letting us know your thoughts – it’s all very humbling and we are genuinely very grateful.

In the name of full disclosure… we must point out that we do accept samples. However, this bares little relevance to what we end up writing as kindly donated for review or not, the words on this site are not paid for nor anything other than our own opinion – for better and for worse. Every so often we go back and re-write reviews, mainly to keep them up to date but also to ensure that as many of the things that we hear and learn along the way are reflected in the posts themselves.

We feel very lucky to have been able to learn about gin and drinks since starting The Gin Blog. Most of the information has come from patient brand teams, generous barkeeps and from reading the amazing work of fellow bloggers. So, if you feel like a bit of further reading, here’s a few who we would recommend:
